Duty, decency, reliability, honor, dignity, respect: these are all qualities that my father not only held in high esteem, but practiced every day during his time on this earth. He was a generous christian and well known Igbo titled man, but he could never resist the opportunity to have a laugh with friends and loved ones, given half the chance.
Born in Nsukka, Southeastern Nigeria December 1940 – an indegine of Achi-Nkpokolo he saw a lot during his lifetime: a civil war in Nigeria [July 1967 – January 1970], and an uncertain Nigeria after the Civil War.
He was a successful trader, bookseller [Principal Bookshop and Commercial Stores Ltd.] , general goods sales man, businessman, import and exporter [Gregson Trading Company] and travelled all over the world. He was a member of the Peoples Club of Nigeria – [click here for soundtrack online by Late Chief Stephen Osadebe] a Catholic and a helper of those in need.
He is survived by grandchildren, children, brothers and sisters, spouse, extended relatives, friends and family all over the world.
He has resided in California, USA – for the last 20+ years of his life.
